Through the Garden Gate – Resplendent Rosedale

If it is June, it is garden tour season. And, if you live in or near Toronto there’s a tour to trek around  every weekend during the summer. The crème de la crème of garden tours is an annual fund raiser organized by the Toronto Botanical Garden (a fab destination itself) called Through the Garden Gate. This past weekend the TBG celebrated 25 years of annual tours by showcasing the ritzy community of Rosedale. In all 21 of Rosedale’s finest gardens were served up for those who forked out $45.00 to take a look.

From 10:00 am to 4:00 am today I wandered through the neighborhood leering and lusting after garden art, garden furniture and other architectural structures that I can probably never have .  Ideas are another matter. Though the pocket books of these homeowners are deeper than mine,  I always find take-home ideas.    Here are some of the “kodak moments” I saw today that inspire me and will give me something to dream about (click on the photos to enlarge them).
